Minnesota Film Critics Alliance Member Profile: Joseph Froemming

Joseph “Joe” Froemming is one half of a comedy review team that produces “The Joe-Down.” Joined in the effort by Joe Brown of Willmar, Minn., the two give in depth, humorous reviews of all sorts of movies.

How long have you been producing content about movies?

The site has been reviewing movies since 2016.

What motivated you to create content about

Our love of movies and writing got us into this.

What inspired your love of movies

Love of movies inspired by seeing Star Wars as a very little child.

What do you enjoy most about living in Minnesota or a nearby area

Enjoy the nature and variety of the area.

What is your favorite movie theater in Minnesota or a nearby area

Favorite theater is the Fargo Theater here. I do miss the Cinemagic theater near Albertville.

Joker and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Favorite movies set in Minnesota are Fargo, Purple Rain and The Mighty Ducks
