It’s been a busy two week period for Minnesota critics, as content creators reviewed new releases “Malcolm and Marie” and “The Little Things.” Those weren’t the only flicks under the state’s critical eye, though.
Here’s what the Alliance has been up to lately.
Joe Botten
For his site, Botten wrote reviews for “The Little Things,” “Barb and Star go to Vista del Mar,” “The Night,” “Palmer,” “Supernova,” “Finding Ohana,” “First Blush,” “PVT Chat,” “Malcolm and Marie,” “The Right One,” “Bliss” and “The Reckoning.”
Brian Eggert
At Deep Focus Review, Eggert reviewed “The Little Things,” “Minari,” “The Dissident,” “MLK/FBI” and “The Reckoning.” Eggert also wrote about 1956’s “A Man Escaped.”
Kelly Florence and Meg Hafdahl
On Florence and Hafdahl’s podcast Horror Rewind, the first two “Paranormal Activity” movies, as well as “What Lies Beneath.”
Joseph Froemming
For the Joe-Down series, Froemming recently reviewed “Birdman” and “Look Who’s Talking.”
Kyle Goethe
At his site, Goethe wrote a review on the film “Climate of the Hunter.” Goethe also discussed 1978’s “The Fury” with fellow MNFCA member Nicholas Palodichuk for the series Kyle and Nick on Film.
Paul McGuire Grimes
For his series Paul’s Trip to the Movies, Grimes reviewed “Supernova,” “The Little Things,” “Palmer,” “Malcolm and Marie” and “Bliss.” Grimes also appeared on Twin Cities Live on Jan. 29 and Feb. 5.
Eric Houston
Recently, Houston produced a film about Superman in film and also reviewed 1993’s “12:01” for his Bad Movie Bros series.
Melinda Lavine
For the Duluth News Tribune, Lavine wrote about eight animated short films now available.
Jeremy Lebens
At the Daily Rotation, Lebens wrote about the crime drama “The Little Things.”
