Here is more about Sabelko in his own words.
How long have you been producing content about movies?
On and off for about five years.
Where do you live and/or produce content about movies?
Eau Claire, Wis. We just bought a house here so we could be closer to my wife’s family.
What type of content do you produce about movies?
Reviews, lists and hot takes!
What motivated you to create content about movies?
It is fun to get a dialogue about movies going with anyone and everyone. Everyone has such a vast opinion and views of cinema and it’s great to listen and discuss what people have to say.
What inspired your love of movies?
In high school I got coupons to Hollywood Video for “rent one get one free” so I decided to only rent things I had never seen or heard of before. That really opened my eyes to how vastly different cinema is from film to film. Not everything I rented was great but a lot of stuff blew my mind.
What do you enjoy most about living in Minnesota?
The parks. There are so many good parks in Minnesota. No matter where you live you will never be too far from a park.
What is your favorite movie theater in Minnesota?
Landmark’s Lagoon Cinema. Good selection of films and it’s never super busy.
What are some of your favorite movies from the past year (2020)?
“Sound of Metal,” “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” and “Minari.”
What are your favorite movies set in Minnesota?
“Drop Dead Gorgeous,” “Juno” and “A Serious Man”
