Alliance Lately: Issue No. 71

February is here and with it were some new films such as the mystery movie “Missing” and the thriller “Knock at the Cabin.”

Those films, as well as pictures nominated for Oscars, were all under review by MNFCA members. This included movies such as “To Leslie” and “Living.”

Alliance Lately: Issue No. 69

A new year has started but MNFCA members aren’t quite done with 2022 yet.

Alliance Lately: Issue No. 68

Winter has hit Minnesota this week with a blast of cold weather meaning it’s a good time to stay indoors and watch movies.

Members of the MNFCA have been doing just that, and reviewing movies as well. From the action flick “Violent Night” to the drama “Empire of Light,” Minnesota critics have been keeping busy with new releases, and older films, too.

The Alliance Lately: Issue No. 66

It was a mix of horror movies and Oscar contenders being reviewed by members of the MNFCA recently.

Several critics concluded special Halloween series and reviewed recently released horror pictures. Many also reviewed films likely to earn recognition during award season, with several screened at the Twin Cities Film Festival.

The Alliance Lately: Issue No. 65

Halloween time is in full swing and award season is right around the corner.

Alliance Lately: Issue No. 64

Film festival season is still underway for the MNFCA with more movies under review by members.

Minnesota critics recently reviewed films shown at the Toronto International Film Festival and Fantastic Fest. Many new releases such as “Don’t Worry Darling” and “See How They Run” were also reviewed.

Alliance Lately: Issue No. 63

The Toronto International Film Festival is underway and the MNFCA is providing some great coverage.
